I have re-established contact with the mighty Mint Records! For quite a while, there, we here at the KMA had seriously enjoyed a wonderful relationship with the most excellent folks at Mint. They were just all-around superb human beings to us. And more! They’d send us CDs, we’d listen and review. They sent zines, swag, we went to see a couple of Mint-artist’ shows! I’m sure you’ll recall all of this, there’s lots of this stuff all over these pages… but it’s all from a while ago…

There was a long drought there, and for no good reason. Contact was (mostly) lost, and it sucked. It was all my fault. I just… got out of writing about music, for a while… And when I went to the Mint page, I was horrified with myself to notice that I was so out of the loop on all the bands they’ve released since I last stopped by. I expected a few but, damn! These folks have been busy! It was time I got off my ass.

I sent an exploratory email and, hooray for this!, the awesomeness continues out on the west coast! Mint was right there, doing an excellent job as always, and more than happy to send along links to happy new tunes for us to hear, including Jay Arner, Pick A Piper and Renny Wilson!

I will be reviewing all three of these CDs in the next few days. I have plenty of time, now. I broke my foot. I sit on my butt. A lot. What better to do with my time than to groove to new offerings from the mighty Mint? Exactly.

I am so happy that this is a thing, again. Thanks so much, Mint!

Get ready, kids! The Minty goodness resumes!
