1000th Post!

It’s been a week of milestones: My 40th birthday. Two years of my being stay-at-home Dad. And now, another one…

THE KMA’S 1000th POST!

It seems hard to believe, in a way. But then, you think of all the blather we’ve slapped up here (Aaron being the overwhelming majority guilty party on that score), it’s also not all that surprising.

We could have hit this milestone a while back, but we’ve seemed to go in first and starts. Consistency in postings hasn’t always been the name of the game. Many months only had one or two posts. Now, Aaron has made a concerted (pun intended) effort to have a post for every day of 2014 (so far), and that’s admirable, but it hasn’t always been so. Then again, there were periods with multiple posts per day, so go figure. Be it all what it may be, we’re here now and it is what it is.

Here are some KMA stats, as of our 1000th post:

Date Started: 2006-10-12
1000th Post Achieved: 2014-07-26
Blog Duration: 7 years, 9 months and 16 days (or 2,846 days)

Posts By James: 117 (12%)
Posts By Aaron: 796 (80%)
Total: 913*

* which means there are 87 posts not tagged by either of us – we’re guessing most of them are Aaron’s forgetfulness…

Wow. This is really awesome. When you see the numbers like that, it really puts things into perspective. And all this from a couple of guys voluntarily putting up stuff about music for shits and giggles.

Thanks to all of you for reading, commenting, following, lurking, passing through, heckling… all of you! Thanks! We’d be nothing but two guys firing things into the ether to no one at all without you.

Music is still very much keeping us alive.

Here’s to the next 1000 posts!

  3. You’ve been doing this for seven years? Holy crap. Well done!

  4. Jeez – 1000! Heavy!

  5. Congrats gentlemen – and Top 6, nice! Looking forward to the next 1000

    • Thanks Stephen!

As for the next 1000, just leave me (Aaron) alone with a keyboard, a vat of coffee and a stack of CDs. We’ll get there before Christmas! hahaha kidding (mostly).

      • Like Ben Stiller said in Dodgeball, just kidding, but not really. Your pace is impressive!

      • Haha thanks. It’s pretty easy to slap up a review per day when all I basically do is listen to a CD and then write varying sentence length variations of the word Wahoo!

I did the math. If we were aiming get to another thousand by December 31 of this year, that’s (roughly) 6.5 posts per day. If it was all I did all day, and given an unlimited IV of coffee, I might be able to do it!
