Gigantour

I got this 2CD set at the dollar store, the other day. For $2. Seriously. Haha crazy.

There’s nothing in the liner notes to indicate where or exactly on which date of the tour these tracks were recorded. But Wikipedia saves the day, with this: “A live album culled from Gigantour festival shows in Montreal (September 2, 2005) and Vancouver (September 9, 2005) was released on CD August 22, 2006 and on DVD September 5, 2006.” Now we know! Thanks, Wiki!

I’m just gonna do two things:

1) I’ll tell you that this set is freaking awesome. The sound is great, and the versions are excellent. The bands I’d never heard before were worthy in every way, and the bands we know and love, well, of course they kick some serious ass too.

2) I’ll post the track list so you can see just what has gone into my head over the past long while, this afternoon/evening. I feel like I was there. I feel like I’ve been ridden hard and put down wet. And I LIKED IT.

CD1

Dream Theater – Panic Attack, The Glass Prison
Anthrax – Caught In A Mosh, I Am The Law
Life Of Agony – The Day He Died, Love To Let You Down
Dry Kill Logic – Lost, Paper Tiger
Bobaflex – Better Than Me, Medicine

CD 2

Megadeth – She-Wolf, A Tout Le Monde, Kick The Chair
Fear Factory – Transgression, Archetype
Nevermore – Born, Enemies Of Reality
Symphony X – Inferno (Unleash the Fire), Of Sins And Shadows

Thank you, dollar store. This rocked. Hard.
