Grail Search List Reminder

Hey everyone in the KMA Community!

A little while ago I posted my Grail Items Search List in these pages, and several of you offered to keep eyes peeled in the shops for any that I have been unable to find. Which is AWESOME and I thank you so much for the offer (and gladly take you up on it).

That offer quickly got extended to everyone here, and I made a Master Post of lists as they were submitted. So far, we have Mike, James, Rich and myself. So, if anyone else has a vinyl or CD you just cannot seem to find, but finding it would absolutely make your year, send us your list in the comments and we’ll get your list added into the Master List for all to see and take note!

Also, and I’m totally not rushing you, but you may wanna submit your wish list soon, as Mike and I have already started negotiations for the timing of our third annual Mike & Aaron Got To Toronto record shopping extravaganza. Might be early September, last I heard, and that’s only a couple of weeks away. So get in yer lists so we can search in the awesome shops of the Big Smoke for you !

Also, I’ve helpfully added a link to the Master Search List, containing everyone’s wish lists, in the Pluggery sticky post which is always sitting at the top of the KMA page. This way, you won’t have to go digging through all of our posts to find the list, it’s always right there at the top, ready to go.

Alright folks! Send away! Scott? Deke? 1537? Sarca? Stephen1001? Anyone else want us to (try to) find the impossible item(s) for you? Type up your list and GIVE ‘ER!

The only ones that come to mind for me are (drum roll):

    Julian Cope – Jehovakill
Manic Street Preachers – Lipstick Traces
Bob Dylan: The Bootleg Series Vol. 1-3
    Endless Boogie: Focus Level
Julian Cope: Krautrocker (Book, not music)

    **All on vinyl, natch**

Also interestingly, I have a book here by Paul Drummond called Eye Mind: The Saga Of Roky Erickson and the 13th Floor Elevators, The Pioneers Of Psychedlic Sound. I mention it because it has a foreword in it from Julian Cope.

No problem! I seem to remember (previously) some Girlschool, Manowar, and… Pentagram? It’s possible you got all of those in your own searchings… Oh, and an Ace Frehley and some Def Leppard 7″? Damn, that’s not bad for not having had coffee yet…

Thanks! And now I’ve had COFFEE. Who KNOWS what I can DO with the REST of my morning! The caps. THE CAPS! GAAAHHH!!

Anyway, if you think of anything, just drop a comment on any of these posts and let us know.

Actually, you’re in a fairly enviable position. No grail items? Man, you must feel like the king of the world! You’ve got it ALL under control! Unlike me, of course, who must have 50 things on my list. Sigh. Total lack of control. As always! 😉

Hey, thanks for thinking of me, friend! I’ll keep you guys in mind (gotta mull it over). Nothing immediate comes to mind tonight, but I’ll def think about it.
I’m actually excited that you guys are going back to TO as I’ve enjoyed the past vids on YouTube. And funny, now I know what you look like because of the vids (didn’t make the connection that you were THAT Aaron for some reason – duh).

No problem, and no rush. Our Taranna trip seems to have become an annual thing of awesomeness and majesty, but this Grail List stands perpetually, and is open to everyone. So if we come across something, whenever and wherever we may be, we can all access it and make arrangements for sending the joy along!

Mike does a great job on those videos. Me, I just… say silly things, usually. And yes, that’s me. There are other Aarons (surely, many of them, out there everywhere, of course), but none of those other guys are THIS guy. I am the real slim shady. Er, Aaron. And so on.
