We are at the cottage this week for our annual family vacation. Sun, sand, kids going bonkshit, ahhhh yes.

But fear not. Your KMA loves you, and so there will be absolutely no interruption to the regular daily content. That’s right! In advance of this time away, I’ve worked my ass off to get it all done, and thoughtfully scheduled a post for every day we’re soaking up the sun. Yes! This will maintain my pace of (minimum) one post per day since last January 1.

Oh and even better, hot on the heels of last week’s Series of radio stations posts, this week will also feature a new Series I’ve created! You lucky buggers. Can you stand it? Of course you can. Back-to-back Series! The KMA loves you!

Now, I could probably have access to wifi at the cottage, but I really like the thought of not having a computer at all, for the week. The thought doesn’t scare me at all. Same as not having a TV in my house (since 1996 and counting), it sounds… freeing. And that’s the best way to spend a vacation, I’d say. “Free your mind and the beach will follow!” Wait, isn’t that what En Vogue said?

And even though I’ll not be able to reply to any of your comments or emails (until our return) on my own posts, nor will I be commenting on any posts on any of your other sites, you should still by all means feel free to fire your comment in here and I’ll get to ’em post-haste when I return. Fill that inbox, kids! I’ll get to it all as soon as possible.

Of course, anything James posts during this time will be your lucky day and he’ll surely respond to any of your comments on his stuff. 😉

I’ll think of you all as I chase the kids around the sunny beach and we swim in a small part of the world’s largest collection of fresh water. I’ve been going to this beach every year since just before I was born (I was in my Mom’s belly that summer, born in July). We’ve had a cottage there almost every year. I missed a few years of the fun though, living, as we did, in different provinces, but now we’re back and the Universe is realigned. That place is in my blood. A lifetime of going there would be fine by me. I’m thrilled to be able to give our kids the same access we had. Gonna be a blast.

So. Another series (you lucky bastards). Ready to give ‘er? Of course you are! But yer gonna have to wait. The fun begins tomorrow…

  1. Have a great vacation A. For those who are wondering what Canadian cottage like might look like…

  2. I love disconnecting for a week, or so, every now and then – good for the soul I think. Have a good ‘un.

  3. Up in Northern Ontario, cottages are called camps. So, with that, I’ll say have a great week at camp! 🙂

  4. Hear hear for the unplug every so often – enjoy the tech free cottage!
