    • Thanks! I think I will – I liked the songs they released in advance. I also think it’s a cool concept, what they did with it. Which is a story I don’t need to repeat because YOU ALREADY KNOW IT.

      • What’s wierd is that you already knew it too. You liked the songs before you had even heard them. And you didn’t even order that CD. It just arrived. Sinister stuff.

        • Haha you’re really working hard to cover up your truth here, Scott. We know your secret. LET IT OUT. What other lifetime are you waiting for? The time to live is NOW! The time to wear your Sloan love proudly is NOW!

You’re right, I didn’t order the CD. I walked into our crappy little HMV and bought it. Nothing sinister in that. 😉

          • Ah.. You’re right. Not sinister at all.

Until you swig the Bru, the effects wear off and you realise you’ve bought a Sloan CD you never wanted and all of the staff in HMV are lizards.

            Welcome to CanCon(spiracy)

            • Hahaha this stuff is brilliant. Never fear, the love of Sloan around here is genuine, Bru or nae. As for the lizards, you see them too? And can you see the fnords?

              Like

              • Not sure what a fnord is but it sounds great. The only lizards I’ve definitely seen are David Cameron and Chad Kroeger.

                • I was trying to be all sly about the irony:

Fnord is a word used in newsgroup and hacker culture to indicate that someone is being ironic, humorous or surreal. Often placed at the end of a statement in brackets (fnord) to make the ironic purpose clear, it is a label that may be applied to any random or surreal sentence, coercive subtext, or anything jarringly out of context (intentionally or not).

Lizards? Madonna. Angelina Jolie. Steve Buscemi. Lady Gaga. Stephen Harper. They’re everywhere.

                  Like

                  • I’ve never heard that word! Every day is a school day. I’ve learned about fnord and you’ve learned a whole ton of stuff!

                    Like

                    • I learned about fnords in the Illuminatus trilogy. I’m happy to introduce you to them now!

As for what I learned from all of this? Only that it’s time for an intervention. We love you Scott, and we want you to live the life you’re meant to live. It’s OK to admit you like Sloan. Really. It’s OK! 😉
