Gettin’ Yer Workout On, Pt. 5
Back at the end of August/early September, as you may recall, I put out a request for your workout song selections – the songs that pump you up and keep you moving. Well, you guys came through with some great suggestions! As reported in Pt. 4, I made a mix of as many of your song suggestions as I had here in my collection, and I filled up the remainder of my MP3 player with a folder of all of Metallica’s studio tracks, alphabetized by song title.
So, since this has been my workout mix ever since then, and I’ve had time to get through it all once, here’s the update:
Your workout mix is fun! When my workout hits that certain point (you know the one), the one where I need to get past the wall and keep going, your selected songs are varied enough to hold my attention and help me push through! Thanks again, everyone, for your suggestions.
The Metallica mix is also fun. I know all of those songs, but they’re a band I tend to play by the album, and over the years I’ve just grown accustomed to the album track orders. So this folder of everything all jumbled together is fun because I never know exactly what’s coming next,* but it rocks because it’s all Metallica goodness.
Thanks again, everyone, I appreciate your suggestions! I can’t foresee my changing my workout mix anytime soon.
* It should be noted that the reason I cannot know what song is coming next is because my little MP3 player does not have a screen on it. It doesn’t even have random play. Simple controls only: Play, track Forward and Back, and volume Up and Down. That’s it. I like it because it’s so cheap, and I don’t really care what happens to it. I’ve probably mistreated it by bashing it around a lot during workouts, but for as cheap as it is, it just keeps on going.
