Whew! I have got a shit-ton of awesomeness here! I mean, look at all the majesty! BEHOLD! [cue majestic, soaring music]. It’s wonderful. This will definitely keep me going through the winter.

A super-great trip. We found boatloads of yummy stuff, the weather cooperated, lunch was delicious, and our timing was impeccable – the shops were open, and traffic was light. We even got out before we got stuck on the 401 in gridlock.

Very, very much looking forward to next year.

Thanks heaps, Mike!

Some splendid stuff there. I particularly like How I Got over and the Alice In Chains Unplugged. Also, the Mad Season album is a winner. One of my absolute favourites.

Thanks! Yeah, I think that Isis one was $4.99. I mean, for $5 how do you go wrong? But oh man, I came home with so much goodness. Between what Mike SO GENEROUSLY gave me, and what I bought for myself, I am well sorted for a long, long while.

r.e. Isis, I also have In The Absence Of Truth and Panopticon here, and Not In Rivers But In Drops and their split with Aerogramme (In The Fishtank) on the way!

Holy man what a take in?! That Watchmam disc is great man I was able to see EM live with Big Wreck man moons ago and they were good live. For me U2 Ratttle & Hum as well is excellent for after they relased Achtung I was done pretty much with them as they topped that studio album.
By the way cool music u layer down on Mikes vid, like the chillness of it and than how it ramps up with the good Ol strum action at the end! Well played dude!
Cool you guys swap stuff with each other….I guess that’s the Destroyer remaster eh?

Yeah Deke, this haul was epic! I was thrilled to see the Watchmen in the 3-for-$10 bin. On sight it was just YOINK! That belongs to ME! And yeah, they ruled live. What a band.

I have a whole post about U2 in my head that I haven’t written yet, inspired by Sarca. It’ll get there.

I’m glad you liked the music well enough. I was in my cups when I did it, so I was prepared for it to be pretty crap when I sobered up.

Oh yes, the annual swap of stuff is a cool feature. Yeah, it’s Destroyer Resurrected. Since I haven’t heard the old Destroyer (I don’t think), I’ll be stepping in with this one!

Yes! That one’s very good. I was replacing my old cassette copy that now has wobbly sound. I was happy to see it, for some reason it’s not one that comes up very often, in my travels. I doubt it’s rare, I just don’t tend to see it, for whatever reason.

Yup, I used to play it every Sunday morning, like my church music. Which is apt, since there’s some good and some bloat to that, too! Haha.

Hey, today’s Sunday, I oughta go play that today!

I’ve sort of inspired myself, actually. I really got alot of enjoyment in reviewing U2’s latest…maybe work backwards to reacquaint myself with those albums I didn’t engage with back then, and flesh out why.

Just wanna say thanks again for all the generosity and doing this with me 3 years straight. It’s becoming one of those annual events that I look forward to like Christmas!

I could have gotten 3x the stuff. I left SO much behind that, given available funds, I would have bought all of it, too! Although, I get the felling that I could go every weekend and find all sorts of stuff I’d want. Suppose it’s a good thing I don’t live there…

All of it! I didn’t buy a single new disc. And there was all the 3-for-$10 stuff, and just about everything from Sonic Boom was $2.99 each. I wasn’t intentionally bargain shopping, I would have bought those anyway, but getting them for $3 each sure helped!
