Faces – The Best Of The Faces: Good Boys… When They’re Asleep

19 tracks of sheer rockin’ bliss. You knew that already.

In fact, there’s probably not a damn thing I can tell you about how much ass this band kicked.

Every time I play this CD, I wonder why I’ve never gotten their albums proper – in fact, this is the only Faces I have. It’s only 4 studio records and a live album, that really shouldn’t take me too long! I am deeply remiss.

Well think of it this way, you’re still getting the Sunday Service, it’s just spread out over the whole week! I mean, there were four posts yesterday, a few more today… it’s the same content just broken up! S’all good! 🙂

I find that the answer to most of life’s issues is that it’s always time for more coffee!

MORE possible donations? Holy crap Dude. And absolutely classic rawk is welcomed. The AAAA is also the Melting Pot, so it accepts just about anything! The whole purpose of the orgaization is to make sure there aren’t any albums left out in the cold!

Incidentally…you wouldn’t believe how much Deep Purple I DIDN’T have ripped to my computer yet. Box sets…live albums…I’ve been ripping for a few hours today!

Oversiiiight! Yeah man, I’ve gotta admit that surprises me. Of course, you probably play the CDs for review and just forget to rip ’em. But if you haven’t reviewed these ones yet, and now you have them ripped for your iPod, it’s like Christmas all over again for Lebrain!

I’ve got my collection at the point now, I think, that it’s only new stuff coming in that needs to be ripped. NOw I just need to finish that damn WOM list!

Oh darn, more Deep Purple reviews? Hahahaha!!! Christmas in January rules. I just find it hard to believe you own any Purple albums that you haven’t yet reviewed!

UPDATE (speaking of ripping): I’ve got my Christmas prezzie USB turntable out of the box and ready to hook up (it required re-organizing my whole desk area, quite a job). The software included in the box was Audacity, and I have that on my computer anyway, so I won’t even need to install! So when I said I had my collection at the point of just ripping new additions, that was for the CDs. Now I have hundreds of LPs that I only own on LP to rip! It’s a mountain of work!

I just did a count. I have 45 more CDs to rip. I have ripped 19 so far. Wow. I’m taking a break. This is all just Deep Purple live albums. And this isn’t including remixes of live albums from the 1990’s, I’m not bothering with those!

Or at least the renovations to Ian Gillan’s wine cellar.

These are brilliant, brilliant live albums and each one has its own unforgettable moments. I look forward to hearing them again. Later. LOL!
