KMA1648 R.I.P. David Bowie

Marking yesterday’s passing of a legend, aged 69, of cancer. You’ll all write more eloquent and moving memorials, when all I can think is ‘well, fuck!’

Also: Last night here, winds kicked up to 90 km/h and we had 20cm of snow with it, blizzard-like conditions. Woke this morning to lesser winds but with another 20-30cm of snow expected. Road closures, and school and bus cancellations left and right.

I’d like to think that this is Bowie having one last hurrah, ya know? Anyway, this is a day to stay in and leave the world alone.

Yeah. I don’t have much more than that. ‘Well, fuck” pretty much sums it up.

  2. David Bowie’s music catalog is Rock Music 101. David Bowie invented Alternative Rock, IMO. It’s been very SAD in the Rock ‘N Roll world lately. Unreal. RIP, David Bowie.

  3. i like ‘Well, Fuck’ too.
Of course I couldn’t stop there, being the verbose bastard that I am…

  4. Aaron, your quote is still an important part of the grief process. Before I can get to the fond reminiscing, it’s worth acknowledging it just plain sucks.

    • It does just plain suck. I mean, I know we all have to go someday, but Bowie always just seemed to be there.

I haven’t moved on, apparently, because I still only think what I did when I wrote this post.
