This 1CD greatest hits set manages to gather most of what a passing fan might want, up to 2006. For real fans, a ton is left out, but few would disagree that most of the big obvious ones are here.
Oddly though, Angel, and Amazing are absent. I’d take them over I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing and Cryin’ any day.
Mostly, it’s worth getting for the two cool new tracks: Sedona Sunrise, and Devil’s Got A New Disguise.
I love blaring this album as loud as I can.

Haha anyone who rocks out to Aerosmith is good in my books, is all! 🙂 The land of Aerosmith compilations is a vast and tricky thing. There was discussion elsewhere about whether or not Aerosmith had more compilations of their hits than any other rock group. If not, they sure have a ton at any rate.
This comp is nice because it covers all the years, despite the record label switch. Of course there’s a bunch missing, but when you have as many great songs as these guys, one CD wasn’t gonna do it anyway, was it? Not a chance. Hey I gotta ask, do you have Chip Away At The Stone in your collection? That’s a great song that oughta be on every comp.
Keep on rockin’ the Aero, Vinnie!

I think my dad has that album in his collection. Will have to pester him to see.

It’s on a different hits comp called Gems, if that helps. I think it was only ever on a 7″ (45), originally, and there was a live version on Live! Bootleg. What a super-cool tune!

This is all correct information to the best of my knowledge, and I MUST also endorse this killer track.

Vinnie, Mike’s got all the Aero knowledge (more than me, surely)!

Not “all” the knowledge but I did review 95% of their albums!
One that I didn’t review is the one that Aaron bought this week…because I don’t have it…cough crap cough.

Haha dude I totally bought that one just so I could review it for you! 😉

Crap comp, good 80 words!

Crap comp? I don’t know how they even approached doing all of Aero up to 2006 on only 1CD. There’s just too much. So from that angle, it ain’t that bad… there are songs I’d switch out, but for selling it to the masses that only know them from the radio, I’d say this isn’t too bad an intro CD…
I am REALLY enjoying this 80 words attack. Thanks for getting me back into brevity! This comment is 80 words!

Crap enough anyway! I never play it.

Hey this is why y’all need to go read at Lebrain’s! He’s got all the info about different versions! I just played it and didn’t think anything else about it. I didn’t even know that the two “new” songs were from the Pump era. See? Lebrain’s got you covered!

Thanks Deke! Just one more in the heaping pile of Aero comps. I like that it’s not label specific though, it collects older and newer. Cool. And the new tracks are pretty good too!

You know, hate is such a strong word, and I try not to use it to describe too many things in my life. But I HATE that song (and the stupid movie from which it came). Bad bad bad bad bad. Ah well, it made them more money, I suppose.
