Been thinking on this… I’m disappointed that I was the only person to vote for the sublime Dressed to Kill (the purist’s 70s KISS choice as far as I’m concerned). But when I look at the Top 5 I can’t honestly argue with the choices. All those albums rule. So the moral of the story? KISS had a lot of fucking awesome albums in the 70s!

Absolutely! That’s what’s tough about these polls, limit to five albums when there could easily be more.

Also, I think this is the first time I;ve ever heard a KISS album described as ‘sublime.’ Right enough, probably ‘subliminal,’ but never ‘sublime’ before!

Can’t believe the Ace solo deal ranked so low! In some aspects it’s the best Kiss 70s studio album as i can listen too it right through without skipping tracks…hahaha…Pure Genius that album is and than Ace came unglued!

I’ve never heard any of the solo albums, I don’t think, so I’ll take your word for it! Ah well, at least it got three votes of the 41. Some of them didn’t even place at all!

Was it the solo record that caused Ace to become unglued? Or substances? Or women? Or interactions within the band? Too much touring? A combination of all or any of these? Or something else?

Yeah man the Dude was a mess but he totally stepped with this album. Demon and Starchild were expecting a bunch of trash from Ace! What we got was an all time great which probably infuriated Gene and Paul…hahaha
Peter though did deliver on the Trash ..his album was awful…..

Now now, it can’t be THAT bad… can it? 🙂 I am the master of digging through the shit bins, Deke, and I never see it in there.

Ach, nevermind, I just looked and I can hear all four for free on the tubes of you! Now I just need a time I can get loaded!
