Sadies – Darker Circles

Here’s another sweet, sweet BMV score!

The 5th Annual Toronto Expedition Series, Part 3 (CD)

As you could surely write about every Sadies record, here’s another stellar, strong effort! The songs glide between that sweet swing country, rock, and folk.

The ballads soar, there’s plenty of full-on twang, and then there’s Choosing To Fly, an odd-sounding little gem too. Highlight track for me was opener Another Year Again, typical Sadies until the mid-point rock-out!

The music is always stellar, and the lyrics are strong too. These guys are the real deal, no question.

Sadies rule!

Man I don’t even remember you buying this. LOL.

Not making much progress on the video due to the release of a new Trailer Park Boys season this weekend.

It’s something I still need to do. It’s gotta fry Mike’s brain that I’ve had many of the original seasons on DVD here for ages and haven’t watched any of it.

This one’s a favourite (most of their albums are actually!). I love this one unreservedly. Again, it’s got all the typical Sadies textures, but there’s other subtle twists woven into the fabric. Good find!

Yup it’s fantastic! I agree, every Sadies record just owns. They are SO good.

As I was settling up, I said to the guy in BMV that I was completely thrilled to find all this Sadies music. He looked surprised and said it was easy because “they are a local band.” I don’t tend to see too many of their records in my town, though!
