Simple Minds – Glittering Prize 81/92

I had Simple Minds, as a kid, and hearing this disc now is like being zapped back to the 80s in a time machine. Fantastic!

This collection covers just about everything the casual fan would ever need, all the big hits like (Don’t You) Forget About Me, Alive And Kicking, Sanctify Yourself, as well as Mandela Day, Belfast Child, Someone, Somewhere In Summertime, Promised You A Miracle… so many more…

This still sounds great, get your own copy today!

I have mixed feelings about this lot – they were the big band when I was at school, but I LOVE ‘Don’t You Forget About Me’, it’s just a perfect song.

No, I like a few – Sanctify yourself, Waterfront and New gold dream particularly, it’s just that I never needed to buy any because they were just everywhere then.

Haha well I dunno, man. We visited a lot of nice places, during my tours through your country, but your city did feel pretty awesome. I liked it better than Auld Reekie…

I did truly have a better time in Glasgow. Granted, I spent more time there than in Auld Reekie, but I dunno. It just felt better somehow, more like where I could live rather than where I would just visit.
