Alrighty folks! As you know, we’ve been doing a series of Top 5 Album polls, here on the KMA, one for each decade of KISS’ output.

Most recently, we took all 28 of the results (ties included) from all 4 decades and made an Ultimate Top 5 KISS Albums poll. This has been quite a project, and we heartily thank everyone who voted!

Ready? Of course you are!

It’s time for the big reveal… What are our beautiful KMA Readers’ Top 5 KISS albums? Here are the results!

There are three different ways we can read these results…

1) Those with the most votes total, which would be all those getting 4-6 votes each:
1 – Creatures Of The Night
2 – Alive! (live)
3 – Destroyer
4 – Lick It Up
5 – Animalize

2) We could include ties in the final tally:
1 – Creatures Of The Night

3) We could just look at the whole damn list:

              Street hustler comes up to me one day, Snd I’m walkin’ down the street minding my own business. And he looks me up, and he looks me down.

    An acceptable result except for Animalize, truly one of their worst albums that they have disavowed. I think that’s an artifact of picking 5 albums from the winners of picking 5 albums.

    Also nice that you included the VV cover for Creatures! Very clever!

          Haha and that shows how much I know about that album cover! I just went to Google Images and snagged one and slapped it into the post. Why did people swap out Ace? Should I change it out?

          I dunno man, people like what they like, and it was a free vote for all!

            Well Ace didn’t play on it. So fans made a cool “What If…” cover that showed the actual band that played on the album. I think it’s pretty cool!

            Today Ace says he wishes he played on it. He even recorded one of the Creatures songs for his covers album. I would love to see Kiss re-team with Ace Frehley and re-record that album. It could happen. 2017 looks to be the year of the reunions. Ace and Kiss. Watch for it.

              No man they can not rerecord Creatures! You will never recapture that drum sound! No Eric Carr and No Crazy Vinnie!….Dunno man maybe in a live setting redo the album but not studio! Gah! I listened to there remakes that were on the Sonic Boom album….Gah….I dunno ….

                Sure they can! It would be a completely different sounding album anyway with Ace on it. Maybe he should cover the rest of it solo. I’d also like to hear The Elder restored with all the guitar solos! He should do that too!

                      Live? Interesting i dug the Secret album but let’s see what they got…Yeah I think Guns has set the bar high for reunions so many will try and soak it …..

                      For Live I only own Throwing Copper, they lost me on Secret a bit.

                      What Guns and Van Halen before them did was prove you can do HUGE things with only a few key members. I think Kiss will try that with Ace.

                      OH! And I think there is also talk of a DLR solo band reunion.

                      Speaking of which I have a three part series coming up on one of their founding members, an old band of his.

                      Dude you were early into it! I heard of Talas when he joined but never saw a tape. If you hear it on CD…way way way more bottom end. Well I guess you can read about that tomorrow including where to get it.

                      Look forward to it! well in 86 i was 19 and devouring anything related to Halen as there was so much vile between those camps…I Knew Vai’s deal but Sheehan i was like …Holy Frigg!

                      I picked up a Hit Parader magazine around 1988 ish. It had a full page spread on Billy. They mention his platform shoes from his Talas days…and yes you will see a picture of those! Billy was talking about how he never got to do anything decent on Skyscraper because Dave had turned into the “note police”! And then he mentioned a new band he was forming called Mr. Big….

    Creatures! YESSSSSSSS! Cool Poll……..Animalize had a decent showing as i plugged the Animalize live show at my site…hahahaha…….
    Not really….i think the poll was done by than…..cheap plug!
