Picking My Way Through Your Work

Hello, dear Constant Readers!

After my further Collection Reorganization post yesterday morning, and my attack on the collection last night (I made it to the start of “S” in the CD section, in a couple of hours! This was quite a bit of work – go me!), I’m left with the realization that I’d also fallen well behind in my readings of your blogs. So my real gift to you today ought to be my insightful and riveting coments on (most) all of your blogs. It must have been like waking up on Christmas morning and finding all sorts of prezzies under the tree! You lucky kids.

Also, have a look at the new guitar picks I just got!

  1. Those are very nice. I have a custom Paul Stanley set with a “starchild” case, but no Maiden picks in my collection.

  2. I was certainly riveted by your insightful comments!

  3. I hope you “pick” some great blog posts to visit today (see what Mr. Clever did there? 😛 ).

  4. Those are some rocking picks there!

    • Yes indeed. Up the irons, Vinnie! \m/ \m/

      • I think they are really cool, just like the owner.

        • Haha thanks Vinnie, you’re doing it again…

          • Well I do speak the truth. How are you doing at the moment?

            • Busy but good! Going in a million different directions but givin’ ‘er as best we can, you know.

              How’s the move going?

              • So fat the packing is doing OK, little by little.

                • Great! I’ve sworn off moving for some time. Packing up is a tedious, crazy process. When we moved Montreal to Saskatoon, and then Saskatoon to here in Ontario, we tried to cull and only pack what we wanted to take. It took FOREVER as we had to assess every damn thing. When we moved houses here in our town, I said nope! We’ll move it all and sort it out as we unpack! We just put everything in the garage and went one box at a time. That was the WAY better method, even though it meant moving a bunch of stuff we ended up not keeping.

                  Good luck!

                  • I liked reading about your moving process there, makes me feel better.

                    • I just hope I can help, dude. I’ve experienced moves both ways – where we culled then moved, and also where we moved then culled. I’ve also moved short distances as well as half way across the country (and Canada is not a small place). The sum of my experiences is that you should try to do anything you can to minimize the stress and hassle and worry of the move, however that may look for you! It sounds easy and intuitive when I type that, but often when you’re in the middle of a move that’s the furtherst thing from your mind. It’s easy to get caught up and let circumstances dictate your actions rather than the other way around.

If you get caught up in the process and stressed out, it’ll take you a while to enjoy your new place, and you’re supposed to enjoy the excitement of the new place!

I hope your move goes smoothly and hassle-free!

                    • I found your words very encouraging. I’m currently helping pack some things with my mum and dad. It’s only right that I should help them as they are the best. If you saw my announcement post regarding the move, I tried to have a bit of fun with the use of a saucy photo.

                    • Glad I can encourage! Even better to hear that your folks are the best. I love hearing that. I did see your announcement about the move (it’s how I knew to ask in the first place) but I can’t remember if I Liked and commented… I’ll go check!

                    • My parents are inspiring and I can’t thank them enough for everything,

  5. Some nifty picks right there. Are they actually practical? I’ve known of similar sets that are more collectors pieces than usable.
