Pieces Falling Into Place

I mentioned a couple of months ago that I was making space for other things, projects long overdue, new ideas. Some of the pieces allowing those things to move forward are falling into place. When they do, I will act.

These things are happening outside of this blog. I will not stop listening to music, and I am not stopping writing here, but I may not be posting daily, as I have been for so long. I’m working on how to make this blog fit into the other things, because I still want to tell you about what I’m hearing, and I still have my background work to do in these pages. I’ll think of something.

I’ll still be reading your blogs, but with WP commenting on the fritz (taking more time to go to each individual page to comment rather than using the Reader), you may only receive a Like. This is my signal I’ve read your work, and I will try to comment when I’m between things.

You must be wondering what I’m up to… I don’t blame you. Sometimes, honestly, I wonder too. But it’s all to the good. I’m still here. And I will keep posting, even if it’s altered slightly, and not as often.

Let’s go forward and see what happens!

PS: And who knows, we can all hope for more quality James content, too!

  1. Business as usual Boss! We can comment! We can comment!

  2. I can comment in the reader…this was a problem?

  3. I understand always have your back.

  4. Looking forward to whatever happens going forward, as I once heard a wise man say, give ‘er!

    • Thanks Geoff! Unfortunately, the other stuff I’ve started isn’t meant for these pages, and none of you may ever see it. So it’ll mean time away from here for other things, but I still do have a sort-of plan for what to do for here.

Give ‘er, indeed! That guy sure sounds wise!

  5. Whatever happens your site is still one of the coolest on WordPress, and thanks again for Refused!!

  6. BOOO to the WP comments issues. I don’t get why they have to keep changing things!

    • I often think these little things that happen are minor side effects of bigger work in the background by the developers. It usually corrects itself quickly (like this commenting case), though I do get frustrated when they remove useful things for stupid reasons (e.g. underline). And I can think of a zillion things I’d love to see for the free sites that would be so simple for them to do but they’re unlikely to do so.

I was also wondering how much we get affected by their shenanigans because ours is a free site, but then yours is a paid domain and you still get the wonky shit too. I dunno, man. I just dunno.

  7. Whatever it is you give…GIVE’R!

    • Will do, brother. Yeah some of this has been a looooong time in the thinking, now it’s coming around to being part of the doing. It’s cool.

I have a neat-o idea in the works for how to handle my contributions to this site going forward. I hope I can make it interesting. Stay tuned!

  8. Good luck with the other stuffs and here’s to the pieces falling into the right places.
