Chris Cornell, singer from Soundgarden, Temple Of The Dog, Audioslave and solo career has passed away at the age of 52.
At the time of this posting, no cause of death has been given.
R.I.P. Chris. Thank you for the music.

Ours is much less regal. Memorial Day. Celebrating those who’ve served in the military and also the Indianapolis 500, so getting drunk at a car race.

I’ve been to the 500. Twice! If memory serves, I was there for ’91 and ’93. In fact, I went to the ’93 Indy instead of going to my prom! It was definitely a good time, but yeah. What a crowd.

You live in Canana. I live 2 1/2 hours from the Speedway and I’ve never gone. My dad’s gone and my brother’s gone. Not me. I can’t say I’m completely disappointed about it, but it seems weird I’ve never gone once.

It’s fun. You should go once, just to check it out. There’s a party atmosphere, non-stop. The first year we went, I was 16, and the theme seemed to be “Show me your tits!” It was on t-shirts, etc, and lots of ladies did. My 16 year old brain that grew up in a small farming town was flabbergasted hahaha.

I’m still processing it too. Especially given recent updates and pieces of footage from the Soundgarden gig hours earlier.
All I know is it’s fucking tragic. Way too young.

Absolutely terrible news for the music world in general. One of the best singers, full stop!! I’ve already been only listening to Soundgarden this week and I’m gonna carry on. Rest in peace.

Yup, they’re always part of the rotation, but when they come on, now, it’s tinged with sadness. RIP for sure.

It’s still not making sense to me, on some levels. I mean, I know he’s gone. But he shouldn’t be. Sadness for sure. And oh man, what a voice!
