  2. Happy birthday oh Canada.

  3. Enjoy your celebrations.

  4. Happy 150 my northern friends. Be safe, have fun, & listen to good music!

  5. Happy Sesquicentennial to the KMA too!

    • Thanks Geoff! Hope you guys had a great 150th in the Limestone City!

Also, lots of John A. MacDonald history, in your neck of the woods, and that makes me (at least) happy. 🙂

      • ’twas a great sesquicentennial here!
2015 was a big Sir John year here, the bicentennial of his birth.
There’s now a pub in town too, Sir John A’s Public House, if you make the trek to Kingston, it’s recommended!

        • Most excellent. We had a fairly quiet 150th here. I had Friday off, my lovely wife gets tomorrow (Monday) off, so we don’t even have a long weekend together. Ah well.

The city’s fireworks in the harbour woke our daughter last night, so we watched from the bedroom window. Some asshat was also letting off fireworks in the small parkette up the street, chancing setting all our houses on fire with a mis-angled explosive. Our son, mind you, slept right through both displays.

I would definitely raise a pint in the John A. pub. I have to be careful, though. I’m a MacDonald history geek, and if I were let loose in your town, even my lovely wife’s incredible threshold of patience with my geekery might wear thin as I went from site to site…
