Testament – Signs Of Chaos: The Best Of Testament
A major Taranna score…
Since seeing Testament as the first opening act at the Slayer show back in May, I’ve been on the hunt for more of their stuff. I loved their sound! This Hits set seemed a great way to grab up the stuff I oughta hear first, then I can branch off into the albums from here.
This is 15 tracks of pure Testament mayhem, and two covers: Scorpions’ The Sails Of Charon, and Aerosmith’s Draw The Line.
If you know Testament, you know what I heard here (\m/ \m/). If not, well, let’s just say that when Brother Craig was considering the Big Four of thrash metal (Metallica, Slayer, Anthrax and Megadeth), he said Testament was there and a huge part of all that scene and it oughta be the Big Five. Fair point, really!
Hit It Or Quit It? Hit! \m/ \m/

Agree. Testament’s influence on metal gets overlooked far too often. They have a great swing which a lot of metal bands lack.

They’ve definitely got a “big 5” worthy font!

I fully agree with you that Testament should be included in that group.

I’ll tell Brother Craig! It definitely makes sense, though. Seeing them perform live and then hearing this CD confirms it for me!

I’ll be able to confirm it when I see them with Anthrax and Slayer next month.

Aw yeah! \m/ \m/ Are you getting to see the full show we got in Taranna back in May? Testament, Anthrax, Lamb Of God and Slayer? With Napalm Death (we got Behemoth)?

My Big Five has just got Anthrax in it twice.
