John Williams – Memoirs Of A Geisha OMPS
A Taranna October 3-for-$10 find…

I love this film, it’s one I’ll rewatch (and I rarely rewatch things). The music always haunts the film, adding the perfect accompaniment to the story. It is understatement to say that finding this soundtrack in the 3-for-$10 bin at BMV was a massive highlight. Add cello solos by Yo-Yo Ma and violin solos by Itzhak Perlman to Williams’ stellar score and you know it’s a gem.

John Williams tends to be pretty reliable!

I’m sitting here trying to think of a time when he wasn’t and I can’t.

This is a flick I’ve never seen. I wish it’d come on Netflix.

Beautiful film – but read the novel first! (I always say that)
