Hey folks, I’m still out here, and I’m still listening. This post is to give a massive shout-out to Rhino for their incredible work in compiling this 5CD set of Pogues material. Here’s the pull:
Over 100 tracks across 5 CDs spanning three decades of The Pogues. Includes demos, rehearsal recordings, BBC sessions, live tracks, outtakes and other rarities. Also includes recordings with Kirsty MacColl, Steve Earle and Joe Strummer.
I know. I KNOW! It’s a ton of Pogues goodness. Brilliant to hear all of this stuff.
Here’s the back jacket, as I do not have the time to type all of this out. Click on the shite photie to make it bigger (and therefore legible):
Jesus God – that’s too much to listen to!

All at once, yes, unless you’re loaded like Shane… then it’d probably make a whole new kind of sense… anyway, if you take it slow and listen here and there over time, this set just keeps on giving and giving and giving…

Hip hip hooray for Rhino! I have been digging some Rhino stuff earlier myself, and I can vouch for the quality of their box sets. This looks like another one!
