Oh, WP, what have you done? I thought I found a work-around of your absolutely crappy new editor, and now even that doesn’t work. Apparently I must now look at this horrible UI and navigate around your insipid pop-up control panels. Do I want to try to customize it to my liking? No, I don’t have time or inclination. Can I, even? Probably not. Do I think you should offer us the option of using your site the way it has always been? Yes. Change for the sake of change is unnecessary. Change to something as unappealing, cumbersome, and user-unfriendly as this is, is enough to make me think maybe you’re done. Let me put it back the way it was, WP. I will lose patience with this editor very quickly.

Anyway, Bad Religion.
Awesome set, you need this one.
Some folks might be a bit tired of this one but, personally, I love it to bits. My favourite BR song? A tough choice, but just maybe!
The block editor is crap, total crap. Kick out the Style bring back the Jam.

Preach it WordPress. I hate the new set up. I’ve adapted, but don’t like it.

We need to find and share a contact address or something, and we should all write to request the classic editor as a permanent option. Let those who want the new crap have it, but let us have it the way it was.

There is a classic button you can select, but it will only work for the block you are on, you have to select for every block you add. Such a pain.

Ugh, that’s awful. Right now, I put minimal text and a title in the block thing, save it as a draft. Then I leave the page, go back to WP Admin/Posts and choose Classic Editor under that post from there. That pretty much puts it back the way it was. It’s extra steps but I’ll accept the workaround if WP insists on foisting this shite on us without a chance to keep it the way it was.

Maybe I’ll try that. The worst part for me is if I want to change the color of the text. It is the most backasswards way of doing it.

Oh yes, so many bassackwards things. Try making changes to the title (and editing the slug) in the new editor… and so on… I even hate how you try to leave an empty line between things, for spacing, and it immediately populates with what amounts to DON’T FORGET TO PUT TEXT HERE in the empty line. Like, f-off, WP. I know what I’m doing. Ugh.
That work-around I mentioned has been OK for me, and Geoff over at 1001albums said it worked for him too. Let’s hope they leave that as an option, that they don’t fully remove the old editor, because the sh*t may be new, but it is still sh*t.

I think all websites and apps change stuff for the sake of change and that is the dumbest reason.

Yup I said that too, somewhere in these pages. We left Blogger years ago for the same reasons. I hope WP doesn’t f things up worse.

Well if I did control them, things would be very different and all of these worries would be moot.
