Welcome to the KMA Master Grail Search List! On this page we list all of the hard-to-find “grail” items we’re looking for, so we can keep our eyes peeled for each other when we’re in the shops and online. This is all about community, so let’s help each other find what we want most! If you want your list here, send it to us! And don’t forget to bookmark this page for future reference.

Happy to help, Mr Community. Wish I could do more. I had a look down it to see if anyone wanted any of the stuff I showed off last week, but alas.

Could you add It Just Gets Worse by Anal Cunt (CD) to my list? It was a mail order only album, because the song titles were so offensive none of Earache Records’ distributors would manufacture it. So it’s rare. I didn’t buy it in ’99, so I missed out. I wouldn’t want to pay more than $25 for it though.
I’ve got more, but I can’t think of ’em right now.

Also when Craig says “all original LP only” and lists Rage for Order does that mean he only wants the blue ring cover, or would a black ring cover suffice?

Um, I have no idea. I can ask him. I didn’t know there were different ones!

The blue ring was the very first printing that’s sort of rare nowadays on vinyl, but extremely rare on CD. They changed it to black because the blue was too light and made it hard to read the text.

Alright dude, I bit the bullet. I ordered both Marillion Christmas albums. Both $30. One was in Canada, the other in the Netherlands. I had to do it eventually I think. I’ve been looking for those CDs since 2000, so I think 20 years is a good enough time.
Marillion can come off!

Could you please remove Cross Purposes Live from the list. I think I’ll wait for a hopeful reissue.

Just clarifying, that removal has nothing to do with the lack of progress, I just can’t justify to myself paying that much for a CD missing three crucial tracks and is all on youtube

For some reason I am just seeing this now, over a month late from your request. Sorry about that! I can indeed remove the Sabbath, if you like. To me, I’d leave it and see if anybody found one in the wild for cheap, in some shoppe that didn’t really bother to look up what they had before pricing it, but you’re right too that a reissue may be in the offing at some point, especially now that Sabbath is done. Removed!

I’m happy to report that, after a few years of watching the price fluctuate mostly up & up (as much as $99), I finally found the Bill Nelson 8-CD box set for a reasonable price. An Amazon Marketplace seller had it listed for just under $64, with no tax & free Prime shipping, and I used some AmEx points to get the total down to $39.95. There’s one holy grail item finally purchased. Fingers crossed it’s in “like new” condition per the listing. Hooray for me. I’ve had some very stressful times lately and this was just the pick-me-up I needed.

Fantastic news, Rich! Way to go! Let me know when it comes in and you’re happy with it, and I’ll take it off the list!
Sorry to hear about times being less than optimal, I just know things will pick up soon. And getting a long-sought-after boxed set is the beginnings for sure!

The Bill Nelson box set arrived last week and I started listening to it today. Currently in the middle of Disc 3. So far I’m loving it, and it looks like all the packaging is intact. I’m so pleased to finally have this in my collection.
