The Hollywood Vampires – Hollywood Vampires
Here’s another Taranna score…
I knew of this project, that Alice Cooper and Johnny Depp were involved, but I hadn’t payed a whole lot of attention to any of it. Finding a copy for $5 was enough inducement for me to try it out.
Turns out this is a damn fine, rockin’ record, and I don’t say that in a surprised way. It’s a few original tunes and a collection of covers, all well-chosen and well-played. Hell yeah!
Have a look at the kick ass track listing RIGHT HERE. This edition I have here doesn’t have the bonus tracks, but that’s fine by me, really. There’s lots to be getting on with here as it is.
I also learned quite a bit, all of which I found online (Wiki, mostly), that the Hollywood Vampires were a celebrity drinking club started by Cooper, which involved a whole slew of famous people. The band was started to honour those who have passed away due to excess in the 1970s. You can check out all the details of who appears here, who’s in the touring band, where and when they played and who else joined in RIGHT HERE.
Hit It Or Quit It? Hit! I had fun jamming through these tracks.
