iTunes Random Play, Pt. 15 (Plus A Bonus!)

Today is the usual iTunes randomness, but with a twist! You see…

Our son has been coughing since Saturday, but late last night it reached a peak. There was barf (ain’t parenting glamourous!). Needless to say, he didn’t go to school today.

Digging around on the youtubes for distraction, I found a post that is 6 hours of uninterrupted Mozart, so this morning we listened to that. It was lovely, and probably good for all our brains!

And this afternoon, it was the iTunes…

Hibakusha – Moped Song
Autour De Lucie – Chansons Sans Issue (Ne Vois Tu Pas)
20 Miles – Rhythm Bound
Melissa Etheridge – Resist
Hawksley Workman – Every Creepy Pusher
Pat Metheny, Dave Holland & Roy Haynes – Change of Heart
Harry Connick, Jr. – That Party
R.L. Burnside – Shuck Dub
Renny Wilson – Who Was I?
Extreme – When I First Kissed You
Teenage Guitar – Current Pressings, Colors And Styles
Keith Richards – Eileen
Led Zeppelin – Celebration Day
Cracker – Big Dipper
Deep Purple – Keyboard Solo (live at Montreux 2006)
Beastie Boys – That’s It That’s All
Guided By Voices – Table At Fool’s Tooth
Rory Gallagher – Follow Me
Billy Childish – Deer Stalking Man
Bryan Adams – Native Son
Wolfstone – Brave Boys (live, Not Enough Shouting)
Preston School Of Industry – Doping For Gold
Bad Religion – My Head Is Full Of Ghosts
Rollins Band – I Feel Like This
Glass Tiger – (She Said) Love Me Like A Man

Yes! Loved it. And it was a double-bonus – usually it’s just me and my daughter listening, but today my boy was here too (sick as he is), so I got to expand two brains!

Yeah! I like him far better than someone like, say, Beethoven, when we’re just hanging around the house. Mozart is always so uplifting whereas, Beethoven… he makes me wanna invade Poland or something.

Funny you should say that, because I was just having a memory of my University days. I hung out with the music majors a lot in my first and second years. I recall in first year mentioning to him that I liked Mozart better because I thought his “songs” were catchier. He chuckled.

Haha yeah, they’re catchy – and peppy! I just find Beethoven darker, heavier. Not Wagner dark, but darker than Mozart. And I like dark and heavy too (\m/ \m/) but today it was Mozart and that suited just fine!

Did I give you that Purple Montreaux? The CD would have a white cover I think? (I bought the Japanese which has 2 CDs.)

    And hoooooooray for Hibakusha!!!

Hey, doesn’t that nicely segue into another simultaneous review that is happening tomorrow? 😉

Yep, that DP was the one with the white cover – yet another gratefully received donation to the AAAA. I put up a review of it in these pages, too. It’s really great!

Yup I love that Hibakusha CD. Had that for ages, always happy when it pops up in the mix.

Oh is that tomorrow? Haha I better go polish what I’ve got written! [trundles off to do just that…]
