Another disc I picked up for $2 (still in its shrink-wrap!), I definitely knew the name but I only had one track of theirs on a CMJ compilation from 2003. I was curious to try an album, see what the fuss was about.
Well, I’ve played the whole thing twice and only the first track (called The End, oddly enough) has stuck in my head. The rest all sort of washed together and become one big long song, to me. I know that’s not fair, they are different. But as the album played I realized I couldn’t really distinguish when one track ended and another began.
Still, for $2, the songs sound familiar enough without actually being songs you know that it’d be alright background music at a backyard barbecue party.
I don’t think I’ll be playing this one a lot, though.
