Joe Walsh – Joe Walsh’s Greatest Hits: Little Did He Know…
Ah, guitar bliss! I love this collection of songs. It’s a little all over the place, stylistically, but any good career should be, in my opinion.
You’ll likely know Funk #49, Rocky Mountain Way, Life’s Been Good… and probably a few more besides.
These tunes are solid rawk blues, a little Eagles (natch), a little Neil Young, a little Stones, and a little almost reggae too. I had a good chuckle at The Confessor, because I heard two Bon Jovi tunes in it, both Dead Or Alive and that one from Young Guns (can’t remember the title, you know the one). It becomes a cool rock thumper, but I sure heard it in there after that long intro is over. It would make sense, this tune was 1985, Dead Or Alive was 1986… ah hell who knows. And who cares? Maybe I’m just yapping.
Anyway, a great compilation of an excellent guitarit’s work. I liked it a whole helluva lot.
