Another nostalgia snag, I’ve been grooving to it for a little while now, and I simply love it. My usually reliable memory had forgotten the degree of funkiness on this platter. You’d swear they had James Brown on-hand to help with those beats (wonder how many samples of his stuff are on here). Well, who cares, it’s all here, from the hits to the should’ve been hits.
Listening to the spitting, it’s embarrassing how many things I can hear them doing that others have ripped off for their own schtick. A truly classic rap album. Now I need It Takes A Nation Of Millions as a companion for it.
