And I’m still officially in shock! When Bop mentioned the gig was happening, I assumed I wouldn’t be going. But then Brother Craig got the tickets and gave no choice, and work gave me the day off, and my folks agreed to help with the kids, and now here we are! I celebrate my good fortune, on this one!

There will indeed be much headbanging. And I will definitely lose my WOO! register in my voice. My hand may also cramp from all the metal horns. We’ll see.

Yup I’m super-thrilled to get to go. I didn’t think it was gonna happen but here we are. Just found out my days off request was approved so we won’t have to rush back that night!

Thats wicked Aaron…I look forward to your reviews. To be honest these bands are out of my listening realm. Appreciate what they do but its just beyond my heavy….
But You are the Melting Pot…The pot will be rocking that night

Oh yes indeed there will be a full review.

I figured after sending you that Gojira you’d be into this stuff more! 🙂

The melting pot will indeed be rocking. And probably inhaling a lot of secondhand pot smoke…

I was kinda a fuddy duddy with Anthrax as I bought State of Euphoria and that album did nothing for me as whole.
Having said that that rap tune they did was real good but I just could not get into them until when they got John Bush and that first album was wicked ..(my brother had the cassette it was good )
Kinda weird as I dug em with the second singer more but I dunno..
Guess I’m Anti Social when it comes to Anthrax! haha
Come to think of it there cover versions are real good ..haha

Great answer! Man I’m not even as knowledgeable about all this with them as you are, but my fingers are crossed they’re gonna own it in a live setting (bet they will)!

I do believe it’s gonna be a FANTASTIC time! I’ve never met your Sausagebuddies and there’ll be thousands of folks there, but if I see a familiar face from your videos I’ll shout Sausagefest at them and see how they react. If it’s not them, it could make for an interesting way to meet new people!

Well metal concerts are pretty much sausagefests anyway…

It will indeed be awesome! I believe it that they’re ending. That level is hard to maintain, and with two of their original players out of the mix…

I agree… up to a point. Some of those black metal band logos are illegible to us mere mortals. Only our venerable HMO can read them!

Will indeed enjoy the show! \m/ \m/ That’s 5 top acts for $63 per seat ($80 with tax) total. Man, my Maiden ticket was $120. I’m not complaining. I got to see Maiden on the AMAZING Book Of Souls tour so it was worth every penny, as we all well know. But to get all 5 of those bands for that price on Slayer’s final tour is pretty freaking sweet.

Will you go when they get to your neck of the woods?

Mainly I am going in knowing it’ll be bittersweet. Slayer ending? Impossible! But true. Gah. Having never seen them before (but appreciated their albums for years), it’ll be like hello and goodbye…
